Epoch 1035 Move Arrives While Bitcoin Ethereum and Solana Prices Slide

Solana ecosystem teams secured more integration time before Transaction V1 mainnet-beta activation, a move that lines up with renewed selling pressure across the majors.

CoinGecko data for Thursday showed Bitcoin at 77,225 dollars after a 1.4 percent drop. Ethereum traded at 2,436.69 dollars, down 1.6 percent. XRP fell 4.0 percent to 1.36 dollars while Solana slipped 2.7 percent to 99.81 dollars. Dogecoin recorded the largest move lower, declining 5.7 percent to 0.083388 dollars.

The Solana chart reflected steady selling from the opening bell. Lower highs formed through the morning session and volume stayed elevated on each leg down. Support near 98 dollars came under test before a modest bounce developed in the final hour of the window.

Bitcoin held above 77,000 dollars for most of the session yet failed to reclaim the prior close. The four-hour candles printed a sequence of small red bodies with long lower wicks, a pattern that left the market range-bound rather than decisively lower.

Ethereum traced a similar path. Price opened near 2,470 dollars, drifted lower through the European hours, and stabilized around the 2,430 dollar mark. The daily chart still shows the token inside a broader consolidation that began two weeks earlier.

XRP and Dogecoin both printed sharper one-day losses. XRP broke below its 20-day moving average while Dogecoin extended its slide toward the 0.08 dollar level. Both assets saw increased spot volume as retail accounts adjusted positions.

Community Response Builds Around the Delay

The Solana developer community has framed the extra testing window as a constructive step rather than a setback. Groups across Discord and on-chain governance channels spent the day reviewing compute-budget changes that will affect even non-V1 applications. That discussion produced a visible uptick in developer activity on the devnet where Transaction V1 is already live.

Bark (Christian Barker) and Shibo (David Chaboki) chalk the epoch-1035 clock on the Doginal Dogs Solana board.

The same community energy carried into broader market commentary. Traders noted that the extra days give wallet teams and DeFi protocols time to verify compatibility, reducing the risk of post-activation volatility. Several KOLs on the timeline posted updated checklists for node operators and dApp maintainers.

Chart Outlook Remains Cautious

Short-term momentum across the majors still leans negative. Bitcoin and Ethereum both closed the session below their opening prints while Solana defended the 99 dollar zone only after repeated tests. The next catalyst for direction remains the September 15 epoch window, when the network is expected to activate the new transaction format.

Traders will watch whether the extra testing period produces any last-minute code changes or further schedule adjustments. Until then, the market continues to digest the latest round of red candles with attention split between price levels and the Solana upgrade timeline.
